Can I make an extra donation to the Red Cross?

Yes, in the registration form there will be a place to make an extra donation to the Red Cross - or to start your own web site to solicit donations.

Can I run or walk with a baby jogger? 
Sorry, baby joggers & strollers are not allowed in the race due to traffic concerns. 

Can I run with my dog?
NO, we like pets too but please leave your 4-legged friends at home.

Can I reserve a shirt in a certain size?
When you check the box next to a t-shirt size on your registration form, you are not reserving a shirt; you are helping us plan how many shirts we need to order in each size. If it is important that you get a shirt in your size, please come early.

FIRST 500 registered receive cotton shirts.

No shirts are mailed out.

Can I get a refund if I register but don't run?
No. we plan the race based on the number of registered runners, so once you have registered we cannot offer you a refund.

Can I run with headphones or ear buds?
For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones on the course.

What will the weather be like?
The race is in early December, It could be cold and snowy or bright and clear.. Average temperatures can range from 30 to the mid 40's. Keep an eye on the forecast and don’t forget to hydrate!  The race will take place come rain or shine!

What distance is this race?
The race is 5K (3.1 miles) distance. The course will be USATF certified for accuracy.

Are walkers allowed?
YES! Walkers are very welcomed to our event. All we ask is that you obey the rules of the course and walk no more than two people abreast so that others may pass easily. Walkers will start at the same time as runners but are advised, for safety reasons, to start their race at the back of the pack.

Will there be bag-check facility?
There is no bag check. Please plan accordingly.

Where is the water stop?
One stop at approximately the halfway point (exact location posted by race day)

Where is the start and how do I get there?
The race starts and finishes at Margaritas Restaurant on Portsmouth Ave in Exeter.

NOTE: If the race grows over 1,200 runners, we may change the start location. We will notify you by email and on the web site.

What are the parking accommodations? First, we urge you to consider car-pooling or other alternative transportation. There will be ample parking in the vicinity of the race and within short walking distance.

Can I take a shower after the race?
Yes, but it will have to be at home as there are no facilities available at the race!

Will there be an after-race celebration? Oh, yeah! Runners will enjoy a variety of delicious food and drink items.

Can I view the course before the race?
We prefer that you arrive early and walk or jog the course. With the exception of the Start/Finish area, most of the race course is accessible before the race begins.

Where are the best locations for spectators?
The entire course is spectator-friendly but the best spot would be near the Start-Finish.  Spectators are advised to pick their spots early - please do not attempt to drive on the course during the race! Course map here.

Are there Award for top finishers?

Bragging rights only ;Top three in each age group to be posted.

NO AWARDS for top running finishers in the race. The goal of this race is participation and support for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

FUND RAISING awards go to the top three fund raisers.
